I’m not entirely sure where to begin this post.  This has nothing to do with trying to find the right words, but solely how to narrow them down.  You see, I came in contact with this family back in 2002 when I had Kiely’s cousin, Evan, as a 4th grade student.  I, instantly, became dear friends with his mom and have continued that relationship ever since.  With that being said, I felt as though I knew Kiely long before our paths ever crossed. Well, fast forward a few years…2006…when we shot Kiely’s brother’s wedding. Again, the love for this family continued to grow. I met Kiely at their wedding and secretly hoped she might give us a call when it came to be her turn.  And, she did.

I knew that there would be many emotions shared the day of Kiely and Alan’s wedding, and this time around, I’m not talking about their families’ emotions.  You see, I’ve grown to love this family over the years, and feel as though this connection goes beyond being their photographer.  We have developed a friendship that goes beyond business terms.  Sure, they hired us, we discussed details, we will continue to handle situations from a professional perspective.  However, I feel as though I’ve endured some of the ups and downs with them that this life can bring.  And, it has been an honor.  They are amazing people! (Please note that this conversation now includes Alan-he is the perfect addition to their family! 😉  So, yes, tears were shed, but there was much laughter, hugs and a lot of love.

As for their day, it was truly beautiful!  Kiely poured her heart and soul into the details of this wedding and it couldn’t have gone better.  Sure, it would’ve been nice to not have had 100% humidity and a thunderstorm roll through, but the weather cooperated just when it needed to.
