As our one year approaches, I can’t help but think of how much my husband and I’s lives have changed in the past 12 months.  We have recently moved to England, and it seems like forever ago that we had the best day of our lives! As we travel around Europe, I often try to take him back to places I have gone before.  But I must admit, it isn’t the conversations or tour guides that help me remember the monuments and plazas I’ve visited.  It’s the pictures.  I’ll often say “hey, I have a photo here with my sister from college” or “this is in my scrapbook!”  As meaningful as those places were upon first sight, memory fades.  It’s the image that lasts forever and helps us remember.

When it comes to our wedding day, that could not apply more.  As much as you try to take it all in, there is a lot packed into those 24 hours! Mel and Jeremy’s images completely capture what I want to remember about the day I married my best friend.  Our wedding album is a joyful reminder of how fantastic that day was; we flip through it often and find new things every time.

In Mel, you get so much more than a photographer.  I wish everyone could see the way she and Jeremy work.  There isn’t a bossy bone in her body, yet she quietly and effectively gets everything done.  I think we were ahead of schedule, and who can say that about their wedding??  Carpenter Photo is like a photographer, wedding planner, therapist, and overall wedding guide wrapped up into one package.  She and Jeremy have a wonderful way of getting the shots they need without being obtrusive, especially during the ceremony.  I can barely remember where they were, yet the moments are perfectly captured.

Jake and I have both said, “the day just would not have been the same without the Carpenters.”  And we mean it 100%.  We are so grateful for the beautiful images they gave us.  Not only is their art fantastic, their personalities are sincere and SO easy to work with.  I truly have nothing but the best
to say! THANK YOU for your hard work and above and beyond attitudes.  Jake and I are so thankful we had you both there to capture our special day!!
