Welcoming Baby Jett
Earlier this year, we had the pleasure of meeting Wade and Stephanie for the first time. They have their own photography business, as well, so it didn’t take long for us to make a connection, especially when we discovered we were practically neighbors. 🙂 Since then we have met up a handful of times (not near enough)…including them picking me up for lunch one day when I was without a car. 😉 I guess you could say I have truly enjoyed getting to know them in this short amount of time and was extremely honored when they asked me to document the birth of their sweet little boy, Jett James.
All I can say is that Steph was amazing! Sidenote: how anyone can look that good before/after delivery is beyond me. 😉 This was my first time documenting a natural birth. Sure, I have experienced it physically, but you’re in a completely different mindset when someone else is going through it. 😉 She had 100% determination and Wade was there to support her every step of the way. They were an amazing team and it was such an honor to be able to capture it all for them.
This time gave me a new appreciation for what it means to bring a miracle into this world. When you are the one going through it, you just want to get it done. You’re not thinking about anything else. However, the amount of emotion, anxiety, adrenaline, etc, that goes into this is truly unbelievable.
With all of that being said, thank you Wade and Steph for feeling comfortable enough to have me there with you. You were both amazing…the tears still sting as I think back to those precious moments with you guys. I look forward to watching our friendship grow right along with your sweet, little man. Much love to you…

BEAUTIFUL pictures. You certainly captured the emotions… because I’m sitting here with tears streaming down my cheeks! Stephanie was beautiful before, during, and after! So proud that they went natural too! It sure does take some crazy determination! What a precious family! Ps. LOVE the nursing picture! 🙂 Priceless!
