I have been looking forward to sharing this wedding for quite some time. For starters, I’m way behind on blogging…yikes! We’ve had a lot of traveling take place over the past few months, so now I am in major ‘get-caught-up’ mode…thanks for hanging in there with us. Secondly, we love Nick and Chandra. I know this isn’t an unknown with our couples…we love them all. However, we have some history with Nick and Chandra that goes beyond our normal client relationship. We have known Chan’s family for a good number of years now (I had Chan’s younger sister, Courtney, in class when she was in 4th grade). So, I guess you could say they are more like family than clients to us. And, finally, Claire was their little flower girl. She’s not much of a performer, so we were pretty excited that she at least ‘ran’ down the aisle. 😉
It is always an honor to be a part of any couple’s wedding. However, when you already have a relationship with the couple before they are even engaged it adds an extra dose of happiness. I loved being able to watch Chan go through the motions of her day…from getting ready, to seeing Nick, to the photos, to saying ‘I do,’ to hearing Courtney give her maid of honor speech, to watching our kids interact with them throughout the day…all of it.
Nick…you have yourself a beautiful bride, not only on the outside, but the inside, as well. Chan…you were glowing with beauty the entire day.
Yep, there’s Claire. She tends to be a bit shy around groups and doesn’t exactly love being in front of our cameras. Yes, I said it…we struggle photographing our own children.
Thankfully, we got her down the aisle. Obviously, the little ring bearer had his role under control…nice and easy. He even tried to take her hand to get her down the aisle. Then, you have Claire…sprinting like mad to the front. 😉
Anyone who knows Chandra, knows that she has a deep love for kids of all ages. There were a lot of little ones running around throughout the day and into the night. Chandra made sure that they, too, would be entertained. Gabe was, obviously, loving it. 😉
The photo above with Nick and Claire is one I will always remember. As I mentioned before, Claire tends to be a bit shy…especially around males (which we are thankful). However, she has known Nick for quite some time, yet shies away from him when he’s around. Then, the minute we leave she’s asking about him. Well, we had to take this picture after she conked out from the day’s events. We knew that this photo wouldn’t have happened otherwise. Love it!
Obviously, their reception was full of energy, but even more so, love. They have a lot of support cheering them on as they begin this amazing journey. Nick and Chan…we love you to pieces. So glad that God brought Courtney into my 4th grade class all of those years ago. Our lives have been enriched because of all of you. Love you guys!
