I love the story of how Heather and I met. We are both involved in an online small group for moms called Hello Mornings. Every morning I hop on twitter, say hello to some amazing moms, and then jump in the word (aka. the Bible ;). I do this before Gabe and Claire are awake. This gives me some quite time before the hustle and bustle of our days take over. I don’t wake up in a frenzy…I take a deep breath, have some quiet time, and then start my day. This group has been life changing for me in so many ways. I used to be the photographer that would stay up until 3am (sometimes 4am) to edit. Granted, I am a night owl, so this wasn’t necessarily horrible…until I had to wake up around 7am to get the kids ready for school. Lets just say that I woke up on the wrong side of the bed…a lot…needing more rest, but needing to be mom to our precious kiddos. So, last fall I made the change to wake up for my kiddos rather than waking up to them. My work load doesn’t always get done as fast as I would like, but right now, in this stage of my life, I have two little ones that need their mommy to wake up cheering them on rather than them coming to pull me out of bed. So, this is where Heather and I met…online…come to find out we went to the same church, as well. I got to meet her for the first time in person just weeks before their session, yet felt like we had known each other for quite some time. Who says you can’t make friends over the internet. 😉 Love life moments like this.
I absolutely love watching families interact with each other. Some are more laid back while others are full of energy. It always brings such a
unique dynamic to the session and the Good family did not disappoint. There was so much energy, tons of laughter, and so many moments
captured. I love how their session turned out! Thanks for asking me to photograph your beautiful family, Heather! It was such an honor. Love you, my friend!
