So, where am I going with this? Well, I’m not entirely sure. I have a lot on my mind and felt that instead of caving to my blogger’s block I should actually share my heart. 😉 First of all, if you follow us on facebook (if you don’t, you should ;), then you have heard me talk about our new websites. I have tried on numerous occasions to update our websites and it has finally happened. We will be sharing our new wedding and portrait sites with you soon. These sites are simple, clean and overloaded with our work. It’s hard to narrow down 3 years of work (that was the last time our current site was updated) into just a few galleries. So, disregard the overwhelmingness. 😉 With that being said, I thought the sites would’ve been live by now. However, we made a simple mistake with our hosting that has caused the process to take forever. So, bear with us… That was the first thing on my mind.
And, finally, what I believe is at the top of my mind is the fact that I will be leaving for South Africa in less than 2 weeks!!! This has been a life-long dream of mine (will share more about this dream in another post :). I will be joining a wonderful team from our church–Northview–that has partnered with Horizon International. We will be leading a retreat/VBS for several AIDS orphanages in the Limpopo Province
for 10 days. I am getting excited for my time there, but with that comes anxiety for leaving Jeremy and the kids during this time, in addition to the mile long list of business things I would like to accomplish before I go. I realize that overwhelming myself isn’t the answer. I also realize that trips such as these ignite struggles that are challenging in the midst of it all. However, I understand we are called to help those in need, and I’m ready. The reward of my time there will be life-changing and I look forward to sharing it all with you.I will share more details as the time approaches, but wanted to share my weighted heart with you. Thanks for reading this crazy long post at the start of your week. I also appreciate your patience and your prayers as I prepare to embark on this journey. I look forward to sharing more with you soon…
Love and Blessings…
Thanks for sharing Melody — and I’m SO excited for you in South Africa. I know it’ll be an eye-opening adventure, but one in which I know the Lord will stir your heart. I look forward to hearing all about it when you get back.
Excited to see the new changes! We will keep you and your trip in prayer.
Oh Melody…how I love all that you say here! I cannot wait to see what God has in store for you in South Africa!
