We have had 3 busy weeks!!  Between Gabe finishing up his last week of school, baseball, family visiting over Memorial Day weekend, meetings/sessions/weddings taking place, I’m close to spinning out of control. 😉  I have been trying to get Katy and Jake’s beautiful wedding up all week (on top of trying to accomplish a million other things ;).  To be honest, I’ve had a hard time putting this post into words.  When you have had the opportunity to document a wedding such as this, where the bride and groom happen to have family/friends you have captured over the years, it’s really, really hard to do it justice with words…  So, to the best of my ability, here it goes…

We have had the opportunity to document Katy’s family since 2008 when we photographed Katy’s older sister’s engagement photos.  From there, we have captured numerous occasions amongst her family and friends over the years.  To keep it simple, we love them, all of them.  We are blessed to know them and thankful that we were the chosen ones to capture these precious moments starting in 2008.  It is always rewarding to book a wedding, but when we’re one of the first people contacted after a proposal to check our availability…we feel rather special. 😉

As for Katy and Jake, wow.  They are beautiful without wedding attire, but when you add that to the mix then, wow, wow, wow.  Katy’s dress was made for her, without a doubt.  It was evident how much Jake adores her from the first time he saw her on their wedding day.  They are perfectly made for one another.  And, that was only their outward appearances.  Their character, personalities and genuine spirits are admired by everyone who knows them.
